Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) - in collaboration with University Information Services (UIS - seeks to foster a collaborative, innovative, and student-first culture shaped by Georgetown's Jesuit heritage and values. Job Overview

The Integrations Manager serves as a connective bridge between SCS, the UIS Student Information Systems (SIS) team, and the MarTech initiative supporting graduate programs across Georgetown University. They assist the SIS team in providing specialized integrations that power educational systems specific to SCS and the MarTech initiative - including but not limited to Banner, Salesforce, Destiny One, TargetX, Slate, and the Coursera platform, as well as departmental and program websites running on the Django and WordPress platforms; and use a variety of integration and analytic tools - for example, Mulesoft, Tableau, IBM Cognos, Google Cloud Platform, Looker, and Big Query.

Working within and across teams to support the acquisition of new skills and areas of expertise, the Integrations Manager necessarily adapts rapidly to changing business requirements, and efficiently acquires and utilizes new skills in response to such change.

Work Interactions

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer for Main Campus, with a dotted line reporting line to the UIS Director of Student Systems, the Integrations Manager has no direct reports. They serve as a member of one or more project teams, with an additional reporting line to that project's manager.

They work collaboratively with other SCS and UIS staff; interact extensively with the user community, including all levels of administrative staff, faculty and students; and may also work with external resources at various levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related computing intensive field
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in maintenance and design of relevant enterprise systems integrations - preferably in a higher education environment

Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications

  • Experience with enterprise systems including Salesforce and Mulesoft - preferably with experience with higher education systems including Banner and Coursera
  • Strong experience with REST and SOAP API architectures and related development
  • Experience developing integrations and applications using languages and frameworks, including Java, JSP, Python, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and Groovy / Grails
  • Experience with relational database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS-SQL Server and Google Big Query
  • Experience integrating to support data analytics systems such as Looker, Tableau, IBM Cognos
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure services, including Google Cloud Platform (Big Query) and Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, EBS)
  • Experience with RHEL / Ubuntu / Linux system administration, and Apache web server configuration
  • Experience with federated authentication (oauth or SAML)
  • Proficiency with Subversion and/or Git
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate technologies for ensuring the appropriate security and protection of enterprise data and systems that house FERPA level information and sensitive PII
  • Familiarity with common IDEs, including Eclipse, VisualStudio, etc

  • Experience with higher education student information and applicant management systems, including Destiny One, TargetX, Slate
